Often people who are gender diverse seek to change their legal name and/or their gender marker for their birth certificate, passport, driver’s license and social security. We know this process can feel like a maze of paperwork, and we are here to help. 

GIVS Legal  offers lawyer referrals for people living in Western Massachusetts who would like support with this process. Our GIVS Legal coordinator, Attorney Miriam Krell Bourke, will pair you with a local lawyer who will provide information and assistance with the necessary paperwork and court filings.
